We are now using Fastway Couriers for the majority of our freight up to 25kg (dead weight or cubed) and Australian Air Express for freight up to 5kg. Fastway deliver all over Australia however their delivery times and pricing vary from place to place. We have simplified the freight rates rather than use Fastway's system as it would be too confusing for our customers. Some orders over 25kg may be sent with TNT.
Freight charges are now calculated based on the weight or cubic measurement of an item. For instance a set of Logitech Z-5500 speakers weighs 27kg however the cubic weight equates to 47kg (using the freight industry's standard of length x height x depth x 250 = cubic kg). Almost all products in the computer industry have a higher cubic weight rather than dead weight.
Australian Air Express ships Australia-wide with freight usually arriving within 1-2 days of being sent. Australian Air Express is available as a flat rate of $20 to all orders up to 5kg. Orders over 5kg will NOT have the option available to them in the Shipping section of the Checkout.
Pick Up is available in Melbourne. Please arrange a time for pick up. This option will only show for Victorian customers.
• We do not ship to PO Boxes. • We do not ship overseas. • We do not ship to third party addresses unless that address is known and can be verified by PC Maniacs. • Customers are responsible for paying any freight charges incurred by refused shipment and unclaimed goods. PC Maniacs will make every effort to deliver on time. However, we shall not be held liable for delay or lost shipment. • Customers are responsible to have someone at the delivery address to sign for and accept the delivery. Cost for re-delivery attempts will be passed to the customers if the delivery address is unattended at the time of delivery.
Tracking of order delivery
• When your order is shipped you will be sent an E-mail confirmation which will include an Internet link with your order tracking number which can be used to track your order. Parcels sent via Australia Post service can not be tracked at the moment.
